The Worlds End is a relatively small traditional pub, with a terraced beer garden overlooking the river Nidd in Knaresborough. It’s in a fantastic position to catch tourists as they wander along the riverside. Yet it has never really been able to maximise on its food trade due to their very small kitchen.
Our brief was to supply a pizza oven which would help the pub increase their food capacity with a quality food offering. Their plan was to refurbish the beer garden area and offer stone baked pizza cooked outside as it is quick to cook, and therefore would help maximise their 150-cover capacity, without placing excess stress on their kitchen.
The solution was the Clementi Family gas pizza oven which can cook up to 4 pizzas at a time. The oven is sited so that customers can see it as they walk past the pub, and since its installation, the beer garden has been extremely busy throughout the summer months. Additionally, the pub’s online reviews have improved, with many people siting the outdoor food menu including the stone baked pizza from the Clementi pizza oven as a particular highlight to their visit.
