Note: A Pizza Peel is not included with the model, please purchase separately. We recommend a Pizza Peel for getting your pizzas in and out of your oven with ease!
Note: Ooni Volt 12 is versatile and can achieve incredible results on so much more than just pizza. However, please be aware that if you choose to cook fatty foods such as steaks at or above 300 °C, this may result in some smoke, and there is a risk of a grease fire. If that occurs, please unplug your oven and leave the door closed until the fire is extinguished. Be very careful of the risk of the fire reigniting when opening the door. Do not allow grease to build up on cooking surfaces.
Note: The product can get hot during use. Make sure to place the oven on a heat resistant surface or use a trivet or heat resistant pad. If in doubt, check with the manufacturer of the surface for advice prior to use.
Great oven.
I’ve had the Ooni Karu 16 for a few years and while it’s great during warmer and drier months running it during the winter can be hard work. The Ooni Volt heats up really quickly, holds the temperature steadily and is easier to use than the Karu on gas (much easier than with wood & charcoal). The heater under the stone and that it beeps when it’s up to temp makes it pretty fool proof. I find giving the pizza a single turn towards the end works best, but it’s a remove it and turn it on the peel job as using a turning peel in there would be very tight. It’s pretty cheap to run, about 15p (2/3 of a unit on the meter) to get up to max temp and turn out a couple of Neapolitan pizzas.
It’s a BIG unit, and not exactly light, so check it’ll fit where you intend to store it… The wood and gas models put on a show while heating up and cooking, this is a piece of kitchen equipment, it hums away quietly but turns out cracking pizzas year round. The Karu will still be used during BBQ season, but this has started to make really good pizza a WFH midweek lunch option…
